The MoSES 1.1.1 Laboratory Series extractor is a multipurpose solid-liquid extraction device, designed to perform CO2 extractions in subcritical or supercritical conditions, at pressures ranging from 1 to 1000 bar and temperatures up to 100 °C. Elevated pressures ranging from 400 to 1000 bar enhance solubility and selectivity during the extraction process.

This system can also operate in subcritical extraction mode, high-pressure solvent extraction mode<(>,<)> or standard solvent extraction mode. It is equipped with an additional high-pressure pump for introducing modifiers and/or cosolvents.

The device is controlled by a built-in PLC that enables automatic extraction in a single extraction vessel with a volume of 1 L.

The volume of the extraction vessel can be reduced using volume inserts. The analytes (extracts) are collected in specially designed sequential analyte cells, equipped with inserts that prevent extract losses during collection by minimizing extract accumulation on the walls of the container. This ensures complete and accurate analyte collection, even in smaller quantities.

The high-pressure pump with three pump heads ensures a stable operating pressure of up to 1000 bar (max. pressure fluctuation of ± 1%) and CO2 flow rates of up to 6 kg/h.

The pressure in the extraction vessel is regulated using an electronically controlled automatic back pressure regulator (ABPR).
